I met Carmen and Justin for the first time a couple of weekends ago for their engagement session. As I made the drive to our photo location I got more and more excited for both the session AND their upcoming wedding. The locations are all so beautiful that I knew we were going to have plenty to pick from.
It’s that time of year again! I have been meeting up with some pretty wonderful graduates so far this spring!
Caine and Ashton said their vows on a beautiful Saturday evening in September. The full week before their wedding we not only saw an abundant amount of rain – but also an unheard of amount of snow for September. Even the day before the wedding things were still soaking wet and we zipped through their rehearsal in the rain. Luckily everything dried up quickly overnight and it was a perfect day for a wedding.
I met up with Ashton and her girls for getting ready photos Saturday morning and then we all got together before the ceremony for lunch and bridal party photos.
Ashton & Caine had a first look moment together before we started into the formal photos. I love this idea for couples who chose to have evening ceremonies!
Thank you for hanging out with me on your extra special day!
Miss Kelsey and I have been friends for as long as I can remember – since 1995 to be exact. So to say that I wasn’t excited to meet up for some funky dance inspired photos of her and her dance pal Alana, would be a lie.
We started the session later in the evening than most sessions so we had some fun with the evening light.
Thanks for having me do these photos Kels!
And… Come home more often! ❤
I have to say that I’m pretty sure I have one of the coolest jobs around. I have been having the best time photographing so many amazing graduates this spring.
This beautiful young lady traveled from Strathmore for her graduation portraits here in Wainwright so we visited a couple of my favorite locations. Thanks for coming out Miss Shelby – I just love the way your smile shines through in these photos!
A couple weeks ago I went on a quick little road-trip to Tofield to meet with this lovely lady on her graduation day. Miss Brooke was the first grad session of my 2014 season so I was quite excited! Brooke’s yellow dress was the perfect introduction to spring! So bright and vibrant!
I just love this sisters image!
Miss Kate wasn’t kidding when she told me her dress was very sparkly! I am literally still finding glitter in the studio, on my porch, and even my car! I think her beautiful dress is actually following me everywhere I go. 😉
Kate mentioned to me during her session that their grad class has a bit of a rustic/vintage theme this year. This particular location seemed to fit that theme quit nicely. Hopefully I didn’t make her too nervous as I climbed around like a monkey to capture these bird’s eye view shots.
Thanks again for hanging out Kate. Keep smiling that beautiful smile! I’m excited to see you at your graduation ceremony next weekend. Congratulations!
It’s not everyday that I get to bring a beautiful girl with me on holidays to the mountains – and what is more fun than mountains to photograph than mountains AND this girl!?
Well – there is one thing more fun…
That pretty girl also took over the camera for a little bit to take a couple photos of me too! 😀
