Ryder & Jackson – THREE Years!

I can hardly believe how quickly the past three years have gone! Three years ago we welcomed Jackson and Ryder into the world – and I moved back to Wainwright! And now we are wishing these little men a very happy third birthday – and I am moving into my first house! Needless to say I have been furiously packing up boxes all day, however I felt a short break to blog the boys’ weekend long, stampede themed, birthday session was necessary! They had an absolute blast at the midway, the chucks and the parade!

Happy birthday to my favourite little men! It’s such a pleasure watching you grow up!2016-06-27_00012016-06-27_00022016-06-27_00032016-06-27_00042016-06-27_00062016-06-27_00072016-06-27_00082016-06-27_00092016-06-27_00102016-06-27_0011TeeTee is so proud! <3<3

Ryder and Jackson – Wainwright Childrens Photographer (Lifestyle)

Most of my sessions with my nephews are planned a little bit in advance, but not this one! My sister was out for an adventure with the boys and hoping to capture some candids on her own camera when her camera battery died. So since I was close by I thought it would be fun to be ‘Super TeeTee’ and come to the rescue.

(TeeTee is the boys word for Auntie and I am quite taken with my nickname!)

‘Life’s tough when you’re two…’2015-07-08_0001

For future reference… sorry for these first two photos muchkins! We took my nephews out a few days after their second birthday to get some birthday photos, but the boys just weren’t wanting anything to do with the camera. They weren’t feeling 100% so it wasn’t their best ever photo day.

Now that they are feeling much better I took them out for a re-try session and had much better luck! ❤2015-07-08_0002 2015-07-08_0003 2015-07-08_0004 2015-07-08_0005 2015-07-08_0006 2015-07-08_0007 2015-07-08_0008 2015-07-08_0009 2015-07-08_0010 2015-07-08_0011 2015-07-08_0012 2015-07-08_0013

The S Family – Wainwright Family Photography

It feels like it has been quite some time since I have updated the blog! And what’s better for a fresh post than a special birthday wish from my nephews to their Grandma! (Happy birthday from me too Mom!)

In honour of your St. Patrick’s Day birthday the minions (plus their owners…) decided to have a green themed photo adventure!

2nd Annual McMini Sessions

The 2014 McMini Halloween Sessions were a HUGE success! There were over 30 mini sessions of some of the most adorable costumes I’ve ever seen!

Over $1,500 was raised for the Ronald McDonald House Central Alberta! I am already looking forward to running the McMini’s again next year so feel free to mark your calendars now!

The K Family – Wainwright Family Portraits

It has been a very busy fall with lots of great families having me join them for sessions. The K family and I got together a few weeks ago to update their portraits – and the little ones totally hammed it up for the camera. These two girls were not shy for a single moment.

Ryder & Jackson – Wainwright Childrens Portraits

It has been quite a long while since my favorite little minions have hit the blog. They are growing up so fast and they are FAST – which makes photo sessions without assistance much more difficult than it was in the past. Last week on one of my ‘Auntie Laura babysitting days’ I figured I would give a little session a shot. IT WAS HARD! I would get one of the minions sitting and go to grab the other but by the time I got minion #2 sitting Minion #1 would already be long gone looking for his own adventure. Needless to say, there aren’t really any photos of the munchkins together for this session. There is some major cuteness though!

Ryder & Jackson – First Birthday Cake Smash

I feel like every year seems to go by a little faster than the year before – this year definitely takes the cake though.

And while we’re talking about cake…. Ryder and Jackson LOVED their cakes made by Colby Mainville!

Lil’ J got a little crazy with the icing and wasn’t quite sure how to react. Poor little guy was feeling a little sick for a moment or two here.

He got over it though… lol

And Mr. R was pretty keen about this whole experience – and somehow stayed ‘kind of’ clean… In comparison to his brother anyways.

This whole session lasted no more than 20 minutes – and it was 20 minutes of full laughter from everyone who was watching. It was quite the event with lots of spectators. A special thanks to the guys at the fire hall for your help with the cleanup. You guys all rock!

And another special thanks to my dad for taking some of the photos as well as these ‘behind the scenes’ shots.

Mr. R has taken to finding being told ‘No!’ pretty funny… The kid was busting a gut when I told him not to touch my WHITE backdrop with his icing covered fingers!

Happy birthday Minions! I love you as much as you kids love cake (well… probably more than that actually…)

Ryder & Jackson – Firefighters in Training

For the munchkins 11 month portraits they wanted to hang out with their daddy and get a bit of a head start into their future career as firefighters. This is what came of their ‘Day with Dad.’

Some very special teaching moments. ❤
2014-06-04_0017.jpg

I swear lil’ J is telling us – “Firefighting is serious business ya know?”

Each boy took their own turn driving the truck – Big shoutout to Ian Strachan for lending his daughters firetruck for this session!

These last ones here of the boys with their daddy just melt my heart. Can you see some future firefighters here or what?!

Miss Bailey – Wainwright Graduation Portraits

Miss Bailey and I started out her photo session in the studio for a couple quick photos before we headed outside. We had a gorgeous day with blue skies and fluffy clouds.
