This was certainly a wedding for the record books! Lacey and Derek’s day was filled with so much love from their friends and family. There was so much laughter and fun in every moment throughout the day. The weather was absolutely perfect (aside from a bit of wind – but the wedding party was a bunch of troopers!)
September 22, 2018 – Totally not a day that Melissa and Steve expected to wake up to fall coloured leaves covered with that cold white stuff we relate to winter… But they did and it was PERFECT. The colours were beautiful and so incredibly unique! It was certainly chilly – but Melissa and Steve’s wedding party was a group of troopers.
Congratulations!! 
I do not even know where to begin with this wedding. So simply put – It was an honour. An absolute honour!
I met Kate exactly ten years ago in our first week at Grant MacEwan. We took the design program together so it’s fair to say we spent many hours together enjoying kraft dinner straight from the pot, some cheap beer, MANY trips to Tim Hortons and an equal number of dance parties to some of our favourites (Hello Seattle basically played on repeat on our 15 minute drive to the school.)
Needless to say – I know this girl well and I could not have been more excited when she asked me to photograph such an important day. It was a perfect day filled with so much love, friendship and laughter. It’ll always be a day I look at and grin – and from this summer forward I have a whole new outlook on KFC – It’s no longer just a fast food restaurant. It’s Kate and Cameron’s favourite – AND it really just means ‘Kate found Cameron. (We can thank Kate’s dad for that one.)

OH! AND! Have I mentioned that Katers is incredibly talented? She made their cake and all of the cupcakes the week of the wedding!
Every wedding I photograph is an honour – but there is always something extra special about being called by family of another wedding I did previously. Two years ago I photographed Chardel’s sister’s wedding and as I photographed Chardel’s I had many memories of the jokes and ideas that were chatted about two years earlier. It was so special being able to witness the love that has grown between Chardel and Matt – and to finally meet Matt!
These two are so sweet. They are a quiet pair – that loves each other so deeply! I could see it in the way they walked together, the way the spoke together, and especially the way to looked at each other with such joy on their wedding day.

When Tennille and I met up for our first consult meeting I remember us chatting about how much we both hoped everything would be beautiful and green in time for the wedding. It was a winter meeting and all I could imagine was snow! As the months passed and May finally arrived, one day I looked outside and thought ‘What was I thinking! It’s going to be perfect!’
And it was! Everything about Tennille and Shawn’s wedding was beautiful and absolutely perfect. Not too hot, not too cold, not too sunny, not too rainy – and the best part of all – the day was filled with so much love.

2015 was a spectacular year with lots of beautiful weddings, adorable newborns, fun families and couples, brilliant graduates and everything in between. Thank you so much to all of my wonderful clients – you’ve made my dreams as a photographer come true! Thank you also to my amazing family for supporting me and believing that I could get it all done! It was a year for the record book!
I’m so excited for what 2016 will bring! I think it is going to be another busy busy year with wedding season already over half booked up with so many amazing couples!
Here’s a look-in at each of the milestones I had the opportunity to photograph this year!
The wedding of Heidi and Greg took me back to my hometown of Bashaw, AB! Being part of Heidi’s wedding day was beyond exciting for me as Heidi happens to be amoung the first people I met when I was born! We spent hours upon hours of our toddler life hanging out together and the opportunity to photograph such a magical day in Heidi’s life was spectacular.
The details of their day were fantastic and so well put together – including Heidi’s dress – which she made herself using her mom’s wedding dress! Can you say talented?! And then their was their amazing bridal party! They were a blast to hang out with (they made me feel like part of the family) and an absolute riot on the dance floor! ❤
This was my last wedding of the 2015 season and as I post this blog I am grinning from ear to ear thinking about what an amazing year of beautiful couples and great opportunities I was given. Thank you so much to each an every couple who had me capture these special moments for you.

Carmen and Justin’s ceremony location was an absolute dream! Their guests were brought in by horse and carriage to the most beautiful open field with the gorgeous autumn colours in every direction. Some wicked storm clouds also added to the backdrop – thankfully the storm stayed away until a few moments after the ceremony and everyone stayed ‘mostly’ dry! This bridal party was a team of troopers – nobody let the rain or hail put a damper on this wonderful day!
